The Global Design Studio: Our Story so Far…

The Global Design Studio is a local, family-owned business with deep roots in the Colwyn Bay community. Our journey began 30 years ago as Global Tiles, a specialist in designing, importing, and selling beautiful tiles and bathroom solutions. David Parrish, our founder and director, worked hard to build and expand the company, including its solid reputation for quality and expertise, which still stands very firmly today.

In 2018, David’s daughter, Abbie, joined the team, bringing fresh inspiration along with her steadfast passion for creating beautiful, functional living spaces. Then in response to customer demand, we later launched ‘The Global Design Studio’ as a sister company to Global Tiles. With the same team at its core, this expansion has enabled us to branch out from tiles, into the holistic design and installation of beautiful and bespoke kitchen and bathroom spaces.

Our Approach

At The Global Design Studio we believe in a relaxed, personal approach to home design. We can promise you won’t find pushy sales tactics here – just genuine advice and inspiration. Our small, friendly and dedicated team includes expert designers, skilled fitters, and the backbone of our operations – David, Abbie and Derek with Cheryl in our accounts department.

It Has Met All Our Needs

We could not have asked for a more person centred approach from Global Design Studio Ltd from the planning to the installation. Needing a wet room facility for wheelchair access initially proved tricky in such a small space. However, with thought and consideration of our physical needs, a design was created.
Installation was smooth, consistent with one installer. Everyone should have a ‘Pete’ in their lives !! It has met all our needs and given us safety and independence.

Excellent work throughout. Michael visited initially and talked through the various possibilities for designing a new bathroom. He then followed through with plans and a date was fixed for starting the work. Ray always arrived on time, sometimes accompanied by others and all worked to a high standard and were very tidy. The work was completed on time and to a very high standard and was kept within the budget agreed. What I like with Global Tiles/ The Design Studio is that the price quoted includes everything . Michael and his amazing team undertook the project from start to finish – They literally did every aspect from design to installation.
What was once an unused dark redundant old bedroom has become the brightest, warmest most comfortable room in the house – We absolutely LOVE what Global have done. They worked so hard with a huge team of experts to get the job done well, on time and most importantly, precisely on budget. With regular visits from Michael sometimes twice per week to check things were going according to plan. Our North Wales kitchen and bathroom showroom in Colwyn Bay is located in Mochdre Business Park with clear signage to help you find us, and free car parking right outside our building. Spread across 2 floors, you will find our beautiful choice of bathroom displays located on our Ground floor, whilst our luxury kitchens are located upstairs. Our showroom is easily accessible including a lift for the convenience of our guests. Please call in for a browse or book ahead if you already have plans and would like to benefit from our free kitchen design service during your visit.
